I was raised in a small town just north of Bakersfield, in Shafter, California. I was the first in my family to attend college. I loved to play football at an early age and was nicknamed "Emmitt" from a well known player, who played for the Dallas Cowboy's. The name has followed me to this day. I started teaching in 2009 at Parlier Junior High and Parlier High School until 2011. I currently work in Rosamond, CA at Tropico Middle School. I have been teaching physical education for five years. I will begin teaching adapted physical education the fall of 2015 with 4 schools in my district. I absolutely love working with young kids and teaching in general. I couldn't picture myself doing anything else besides coaching full time.
